FAQ

The story retraces the adventures of Arzi, a young orphan boy on a mission to find his father who disappeared in Mecca.

The journey begins in his small village of Ingushetia, in the mountains of Caucasus, but it will lead him to a path he never imagined.

He will meet friends and together they will be dragged through many adventures around the world, from discovering old civilizations, to being captured as slaves, to taking part in grand battles between kingdoms from Europe to Asia and America, before entering the Middle East.

We are two brothers dreaming of creating our own manga and spreading a positive message around the world. We are far away from each other at the moment (one in USA and one in Europe), so this project unites us together.

This manga is something we do on the side after our jobs, but hopefully if it becomes successful, our goal is to be able to work on this full time so we can have a bigger impact in sha Allah. So please share this with your friends and family!

Growing up in the west, we always felt different from our peers because of our faith. In school, we wanted to fit in, we didn’t want people to know we were Muslims. Looking back, this is sad and foolish, but this happened because we didn’t know enough about our faith. We were alone and didn’t have anyone to look up to. This is the situation of millions of our kids, and this is why we have started this manga.

Entertainment might be one of the most powerful forms of education and influence, and we Muslims are falling behind. A lot of fear of Islam comes from ignorance. People don’t know what it means to be a Muslim. And for our Muslim youth, they don’t have a hero in the media they can look up to. It’s time we show it to them in a way that is easily accessible to anyone.

Our goal is to inspire our youth to become heroes, to be confident in their faith, and to go chase their dreams.

Note: This manga will not be a religious book. We are not scholars. The lessons are inspired from Islamic morals and stories, but the goal is not to give an Islamic education. There are other books for that. Our goal is to inspire and share beautiful messages through the story of a good relatable kid (Arzi).

YES! At the moment, we are primarily looking for an artist who can draw our first pilot chapter based on our storyboards. If you are that person, or if you know someone who would be a good fit, please reach out to us at arzisdream@gmail.com.

If you have experience writing stories, or managing social media accounts, we would also love to talk with you! We are both working on this whenever we have time on top of our full time jobs, we are not getting paid, so we appreciate any help we can get. In sha Allah if this project succeeds, we could raise funds through different means like Patreons, crowdfunding, merch, etc. and if we do, you would get paid for your work!

We want the maximum amount of people to see it, so the manga will be released on Webtoons as a webcomic and available for FREE!

Leave your email on the homepage and you will get it in your inbox as soon as it comes out!

The first chapter will be a pilot chapter to validate the interest in this project and see if this story can even work. That’s why your support is so crucial. With the will of Allah, this is something we can succeed together.

We have the storyboards of the pilot chapter ready. Now we need to draw it. So the timeline depends on how fast we are able to find an artist to join the team. If you want to get the chapter faster, share this page with artists you know so we can recruit them!

After you have signed up, you can share this page with your friends and family. If you also know anyone who could be helpful making the manga (artists, writers, …) or spreading it (bloggers, influencers, social media managers, …), please put us in touch! That would be a significant help 🙏
